Alston & Bird adds Peter Amend as financial restructuring partner in New York

Alston & Bird has announced the addition of Peter Amend as a partner in its Financial Restructuring & Reorganization Group in New York. The move is intended to strengthen the firm’s capabilities in handling complex financial restructurings on a global scale.

Peter Amend brings experience representing lenders and agents in both court-supervised and transactional restructurings, including Chapter 11 cases, liability management transactions, proxy exercises, special situation financings, and intercreditor arrangements. He also advises asset purchasers, distressed investors, and equity owners on insolvency and corporate restructuring matters. His work includes guiding clients through acquisitions and bankruptcies within the cryptocurrency and digital asset sectors.
