Squire Patton Boggs has advised Animalcare Group plc on acquiring a 25% equity stake in InVetro Pty Ltd, an Australian companion animal health company. The agreement includes an option for Animalcare to increase its holding to 51% by 2029.
InVetro plans to use the investment to expand its commercial footprint, product portfolio, and new product pipeline. This move is part of a strategic plan that allows for increased ownership by Animalcare over time.
This investment strengthens Animalcare’s position in the Asia-Pacific veterinary market and follows their acquisition of Randlab, completed on January 3, 2025. Squire Patton Boggs also advised on that transaction.
The legal team from Squire Patton Boggs included Louisa Hine, Sarah Roper, and James Newman. Louisa Hine stated, “It has been a pleasure to support the Animalcare team on this transaction. This is an exciting period for them as they expand their presence across the Asia Pacific region, and we wish them every success in their growth journey.”
