International law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) has advised Berlin-based beverage company Roy Kombucha on the sale of its business operations to local brewery BRLO. The transaction, which was completed on February 1, 2026, brings Roy Kombucha into the BRLO group.

Roy Kombucha is known for producing tea-based kombucha drinks distributed in Germany and internationally. The acquisition allows BRLO to expand its brand portfolio and increase its presence in the non-alcoholic beverage market.

The two companies have collaborated since 2024, with Roy Kombucha using BRLO’s production facility in Berlin-Spandau for brewing and bottling. According to both parties, integrating Roy Kombucha into BRLO is expected to create synergies in production and distribution and bring together their expertise within the group.

BCLP’s advisory team for Roy Kombucha and founder Fabio Carlucci included Dr. Albrecht von Breitenbuch, Valeria Podmogilni, Dr. Julia Schweitzer, Dr. Kristin Frohne, Dominik Weiss, and Christian Spatz.
