Catherine Polizzi named patent strategy attorney of the year by LMG Life Sciences

Morrison Foerster’s life sciences attorneys were recognized at the 13th annual LMG Life Sciences Americas Awards, held in New York City on September 4, 2025. The awards are based on a comprehensive survey of the life sciences legal sector.

Catherine Polizzi, a partner in Morrison Foerster’s Palo Alto office, was named Patent Strategy Attorney of the Year – California. The firm was also a finalist for several other awards: Patent Strategy Firm of the Year; Patent Strategy Attorney of the Year – DC Metro for Jonathan Bockman; and General Patent Litigator of the Year – California for Daralyn Durie.

MoFo’s Life Sciences Group is known for representing innovators in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare. The group works with nearly half of the world’s top 20 pharmaceutical companies and supports clients ranging from established firms to fast-growing businesses focused on life sciences and data analytics. The team includes more than 100 advanced scientific and engineering degrees, with over 80 Ph.D.s in relevant fields.
