Rachel Proffitt, CEO and partner at Cooley, has been acknowledged by Bloomberg Businessweek in its 2025 Tech Ones to Watch list. Proffitt stands out as one of only ten tech leaders honored this year and holds the distinction of being the first attorney recognized in this award series.

Bloomberg highlighted Proffitt’s efforts to ready Cooley for the integration of artificial intelligence tools, which aim to address both client and business needs.

Alongside receiving the award, Proffitt will also be a featured speaker at Bloomberg Tech in San Francisco. This conference gathers leaders from technology and business sectors to discuss navigating challenges and opportunities. Proffitt is set to present on her experiences as a Cooley lawyer assisting innovators in scaling their operations.

Proffitt plans to offer guidance to founders and executives on achieving growth milestones, negotiating contracts, and managing paths through mergers, acquisitions, or public offerings.
