Partner Heather Egan was featured in a Cybersecurity Law Report article, which addressed the increasing cybersecurity risks companies face due to breaches within their supply chains. The report highlights how businesses are more susceptible to threats because they depend on external service providers that might be compromised.

“In many cases when a vendor has had a breach, its goal is to make sure that the customer feels good about the process – as good as one could feel in a breach,” said Heather Egan. She noted that “the big risk is losing the business and the confidence of your customers. So, the focus in those discussions is to get the customers to a comfort level that [the vendor] has the situation well in hand.”
