Gibson Dunn has played a pivotal role in the recent public offering by Interstate Power and Light Company (IPL), amounting to $600 million. The transaction involved IPL’s 5.600% senior debentures, which are due in 2035. IPL is a public utility company operating under the umbrella of Alliant Energy Corporation.

The underwriting process was spearheaded by BofA Securities, Inc., Mizuho Securities USA LLC, MUFG Securities Americas Inc., and Wells Fargo Securities, LLC.

Gibson Dunn’s legal team for this transaction was led by partner Andrew Fabens and of counsel Rodrigo Surcan. The team also included associates Lawrence Lee, Ian Mathenge, and Stephen Huie. On regulatory matters, partner William Hollaway and senior counsel Janine Durand provided guidance. Partner Rachel Levick and associate Taylor Amato focused on environmental aspects, while tax advice was offered by partner Lorna Wilson.
