Greenberg Traurig has played a key role in advising Invesco Real Estate on the recent signing of four corporate power purchase agreements (cPPAs) with Polenergia Sprzedaż. These agreements are aimed at supplying green energy to several commercial properties located in Warsaw, Kraków, and Poznań.

Colliers provided support to Invesco Real Estate by developing a strategy tailored to their energy needs. This included assessing business risks and validating energy pricing, while considering negative pricing scenarios and potential compulsory curtailments of generation.

The properties benefiting from these agreements include the Plac Unii office and retail complex, the Q22 office building in Warsaw, the Galeria Kazimierz shopping center in Kraków, and the P2 office building in Poznań. Energy for these sites will be supplied directly from Polenergia’s wind farms.

Alongside the cPPAs, Greenberg Traurig also assisted Invesco Real Estate with supplementary agreements related to energy supply and balancing services. The negotiations were led by Associate Rafał Kulpa under the supervision of Konrad Kosicki, Partner and Head of the Energy and Natural Resources Practice at Greenberg Traurig’s Warsaw office.

Dariusz Chrzanowski represented Colliers on behalf of Invesco Real Estate as Director of the Energy Advisory Department.

Invesco Real Estate is recognized globally within real estate investment management, managing EUR 76.2 billion in assets across multiple regions including Europe where it operates eight offices with 187 employees. It boasts a significant track record across various sectors as of September 2024.
