Milbank LLP’s Global Special Counsel, Janet Nadile, is set to participate in a panel discussion titled “The Annual UCC & Commercial Law Update” on May 30, 2025. This event will take place during The Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys’ (ACFA) Continuing Legal Education Weekend at Mohonk Mountain House in New York.

The panel will cover recent cases related to the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and other commercial law topics. Discussions will include the status of enactments of the 2022 UCC amendments, the Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors Act—which is pending approval at the Uniform Law Commission meeting in July 2025—and recent UCC Commentaries by the Permanent Editorial Board of the UCC.

Janet Nadile has developed and presents Milbank’s Secured Transaction Series for its finance groups. She also initiated and oversees recommended collateral procedures for secured transactions at the firm. Her practice encompasses a wide range of commercial law and secured transactions, focusing particularly on Articles 8 and 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code. Nadile frequently advises on matters involving collateral subject to the UCC and other statutes across various industries such as technology, media, telecommunications, automotive, healthcare, and natural resources.

The Continuing Legal Education Weekend for 2025 is scheduled from May 30 to June 1 in New Paltz, New York.
