Pillsbury earns recognition in 2026 World Trademark Review 1000 rankings

Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman has been recognized in the 2026 edition of the World Trademark Review 1000, earning distinctions for its work in trademark prosecution, strategy, enforcement, and litigation.

Six attorneys from Pillsbury’s intellectual property team were highlighted in this year’s report: Callie Bjurstrom, Edward Cavazos, Patricia Cotton, Patrick Jennings, Carolyn Toto, and Jon Jekel. Patrick Jennings received a gold ranking for prosecution and strategy in the DC Metro Area and was also listed as “Recommended” at the national level. Jon Jekel was named for the first time as “Recommended – Next Generation” in California.

The World Trademark Review 1000 described Pillsbury as “an excellent firm” that “combines deep legal expertise with a practical, business-minded approach that consistently adds value.” The report noted the firm’s strong presence in California and pointed out the roles of Patricia Cotton (Silicon Valley), Carolyn Toto (Los Angeles), and Callie Bjurstrom (San Diego) in strengthening Pillsbury’s intellectual property practice.

The WTR 1000 is a research directory focused on trademark practices and practitioners worldwide. It is considered a leading resource for evaluating legal expertise in trademarks.
