Ropes & Gray has announced its role in representing The RockCreek Group in co-leading a $40 million Series D financing round for Forge Nano, Inc. Forge Nano is recognized for its work in domestic battery and semiconductor innovations. The RockCreek Group, a global investment firm managing over $15 billion in assets, focuses on energy innovation and critical supply chains.

The investment firm supports advanced manufacturing with interests in companies that accelerate solar energy, energy storage, electric vehicles (EVs), and broadband connectivity. These investments are particularly aimed at benefiting the state of Illinois.

The Ropes & Gray team involved in this transaction included venture capital and emerging companies partner Brad Flint along with associates Dan Freshman and Kayla King.
