Sidley has announced the addition of Vladimir Mikhailovsky as a partner in its Capital Markets practice in London. Mikhailovsky, who previously served as a partner at Latham & Watkins LLP, brings extensive experience advising issuers, underwriters, and financial intermediaries in various capital markets and finance transactions.

Mikhailovsky’s expertise covers debt and equity capital markets, multi-jurisdictional debt and financing products, restructuring, derivatives, project finance matters, and sanctions issues. His joining marks the second significant partner addition for Sidley in recent weeks following David Stewart’s arrival.

Yvette Ostolaza, chair of Sidley’s Management Committee, commented on the strategic move: “Vladimir is the second significant partner addition in the space of a few weeks, following the arrival of David Stewart, as we broaden our international capital markets practice across Europe, the U.S., and the Middle East.”

Tom Thesing, managing partner of Sidley’s London office, added: “Vladimir has strong and close relationships with many leading investment banks, increasing our ability and bench strength to service capital market transactions for our sponsor clients.”

In the past year, Sidley has significantly expanded its presence in London with several key hires from Latham & Watkins LLP. This includes Leveraged Finance partners Jay Sadanandan and Sam Hamilton along with others such as Scott Colwell and Patrick Kwak.

Sidley’s Capital Markets team comprises over 260 lawyers globally situated in major financial centers. The firm emphasizes its global reach with 21 offices worldwide and legal professionals fluent in more than 75 languages.

Matt Messinger serves as Director of Public Relations globally while Daniel Kulcsar holds the position of Senior PR Manager for Europe & Asia. Sidley Austin LLP’s contact details are available on their official website.
