Squire Patton Boggs has advised GMC Utilities Group, a prominent civil and engineering company in Ireland, on its agreement to receive a strategic investment from TowerBrook Capital Partners. TowerBrook is an investment management firm with operations across the Atlantic.
According to the announcement, GMC maintains established relationships with major stakeholders involved in Irish infrastructure. The new investment will allow GMC to continue working on large-scale projects for both public and private sector clients within Ireland’s infrastructure sector. The transaction is pending standard regulatory approvals.
The Squire Patton Boggs team advising GMC’s shareholders was led by George Kennedy and included James McKay, Eva Giblin, Ciara Downes, Andre Vermeulen, Diarmuid Ryan, James Mosley, Ray O’Connor and Lauretta De Feo.
