Cooley and Stripe Atlas have partnered to offer a new service that enables startups to use Stripe’s incorporation platform, Atlas, with documents developed by Cooley. Previously available only on Cooley’s microsite, Cooley GO, these forms assist in forming a C corporation. The initiative marks a significant collaboration in the startup ecosystem.

Cooley’s documents are valued for their ability to help startups incorporate businesses, issue equity, and raise capital efficiently. According to the press release, “Investors immediately recognize Cooley’s name and market-standard terms,” which aids in faster fundraising. Additionally, these templates reduce costs associated with nonstandard terms and provide confidence that incorporation aligns with industry practices.

Stripe Atlas allows startups to perform essential tasks like signing incorporation documents, issuing equity, filing tax elections, and applying for an employer identification number swiftly.

Despite this collaboration, Cooley and Atlas remain separate entities without any affiliation. Information provided by Cooley through these platforms is not legal advice. Using these services does not create an attorney-client relationship with Cooley. It is advised that users consult a lawyer before filing any forms generated from these services.

Cooley LLP serves clients on various legal matters including transformative deals and complex regulatory issues. The firm has nearly 1,400 lawyers across offices in the U.S., Asia, and Europe.

The information released is intended for general purposes only and does not establish any form of professional relationship between users and Cooley LLP or its affiliates.
