Warby Parker teams up with Google for AI-powered glasses

Warby Parker Inc. has announced a partnership with Google to create AI-powered eyewear designed for all-day use. The collaboration aims to blend Warby Parker’s design expertise with Google’s technological capabilities.

The companies plan to release their first line of intelligent eyewear after 2025, featuring multimodal AI and available with either prescription or non-prescription lenses. This initiative marks the beginning of a series of products they intend to launch over time.

As part of the agreement, Google will invest up to $75 million in Warby Parker’s product development and commercialization efforts. An additional investment of up to $75 million is contingent upon achieving specific collaboration milestones.

Paul, Weiss is representing Warby Parker in this venture. The legal team is led by partners Claudine Meredith-Goujon, Matthew Abbott, Timothy Cruickshank, and Michael Vogel.
