Global law firm White & Case LLP has welcomed Drew Valentine as a partner in its New York office, bolstering its Global Capital Markets Practice. The firm views this addition as aligning with their strategic focus on expanding their capabilities in the capital markets sector.
“The expansion of our Capital Markets Practice is a strategic priority for the Firm,” stated Heather McDevitt, Chair of White & Case. She noted that “corporate clients continue to look to us to assist on complex securities issuances.” Valentine brings extensive experience in advising both underwriters and issuers across various equity and debt offerings, enhancing the firm’s expertise within the US market.
Valentine’s specialization includes handling intricate corporate finance and equity capital markets transactions. His focus areas include initial public offerings (IPOs), secondary offerings, and convertible notes offerings, particularly within sectors such as semiconductors, quantum computing, retail, and life sciences.
John Vetterli, Co-Head of White & Case’s Global Capital Markets Practice, remarked on the ongoing complexity of capital markets transactions driving client demand. “As we continue to scale our Practice,” he said, “Drew’s arrival further strengthens our ability to capture additional market share in this strategically important and active space.”
Valentine becomes the 17th lateral partner to join one of White & Case’s US offices this year. This move underscores the firm’s commitment to strategic growth within the US market. Valentine’s recruitment follows other notable additions such as Antitrust partner Rahul Rao; Litigation partners Jonathan Polkes, Stacy Nettleton, and Adam Banks; M&A partners Richard Brand, Kiran Kadekar, Jaye Kasper, Erica Hogan; and White Collar partner Brent Wible.
