Global law firm White & Case LLP has provided legal counsel to CVC Capital Partners in its partnership with Therme Group. This collaboration aims to establish the €1 billion Therme Horizon joint venture.
CVC Capital Partners acquired a 50% stake in Therme Group, which includes Therme Erding in Germany and Therme Bucharest in Romania, both renowned wellbeing destinations in Europe. Additionally, CVC will co-invest in the development of Therme Manchester, projected to become Europe’s largest water-based wellbeing destination upon its opening in late 2028.
Therme Group is recognized for its innovative approach to urban wellbeing, creating advanced facilities designed to improve quality of life. The newly formed Therme Horizon will act as a platform for strategic growth, focusing on expanding Therme’s wellness offerings through new projects, facility upgrades, and acquisitions across Europe.
